The
Sacramento Chapter of Beginning Experience provides a variety of programs
to help you grieve the loss of your relationship and move onto a new
beginning. Depending on your situation, you may participate in the weekend
program and/or our weekly programs. Many participants benefit from both
venues.
The
BE Weekend is the mainstay of the Beginning Experience Ministry.
It is more intense
than the weekly programs because you have more concentrated time to
contemplate and interact with other participants. Many people find that
being away from familiar surrounding in nature allows them to see their
circumstances in a new perspective. The weekly programs provide ongoing
support, structure, and a place you can go each week to vent, be nurtured,
and receive encouragement. Either way, we invite you to try our programs.
We know what you're going through and we want to help.
Weekend
Programs
Most people who attend a
BE Weekend find it to be a life changing event that sets them on the
road through their grief in a safe and loving environment. The process
through grief is not quick, but the BE weekend is a catalyst in overcoming
grief, seeing progress in yourself, and proceeding through the stages
of grief in an expeditious manner.
Weekly
Programs
These
programs are all eight to ten weeks long and each session is from 7-9pm. You
can start at the beginning or join us on any of the weeks within the
session period.
Coping with Life Alone - The
focus of Coping with Life Alone is to offer you the support and encouragement
you need to deal with the pain of your loss and to help you look with
renewed hope towards a fulfilling future. Many participants are newly
alone in this program, but even if you've been divorced, separated or
widowed for years, you can still benefit from these ten-week sessions.
Coping with Life Alone prepares you for full participation in the BE
Weekend.
Rebuilding - (Open to those who have completed a BE Weekend and/or have participated
in at least 7 sessions of Coping with Life Alone) - Rebuilding
is designed to help you work through the ending of a love relationship
by gaining a better understanding of yourself and the recovery process.
You will learn to build better relationships with those around you by
turning stumbling blocks into building blocks.
